Yoshis (Mario Story Fruit Shake) by DerekminyA Yoshis (Mario Story Fruit Shake) by DerekminyA
The appearance of the Yoshi species in an upcoming Paper Mario fangame topic of the same name. They're a combo of their N64 and Gamecube models.

Wherever there's fruit, Yoshis aren't too far behind. Thankfully, they're smart enough to not eat the Fruttas, however tasty they may seem.
Unique to the Yoshis of the Frutta Archipelago is an odd form of sexual dimorphism- only males grow spines on their body, while only females grow them on the top-back of their heads.

The disassembly for the Fruit Shake Yoshis will come later tonight. Also, young Yoshis will arrive in the coming days.

Yoshis as a species and character made their debut in Nintendo's Super Mario World. In official Paper Mario games, they've appeared in some capacity in all of them (physically in Paper Mario 64 & The Thousand Year Door, a statue in Super Paper Mario, a sphinx in the 3DS game, and physically again in the Wii U game). Meanwhile, this is the first time completely new members of the Yoshi Clan play a role in a DMZ Paper Mario fangame topic.

Neat difference added between the males and females, I actually never though of more back spines there. Also glad to hear that they won't eat the Fruittas, but I can imagine situations where a Fruitta had fear of Yoshis just because they eat fruits.

My Paper Mario game also have Yoshis in Creation Island, but I did not planned to give gender differences aside of the obvious feminine eyelashes. Maybe a blue saddle instead of red one for females will help out for my Yoshis. The Creation Island are also more intellectual than an average Yoshis, to the point that they even wear clothes and use equipments.

Creation Island's official Mario species tend to be quite different, you see, such as Lakitu Clouds being more sentient. It's like Alola Forms from Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Thank you. I can imagine something like that, too. XD

Saddle color's a great idea for a gender difference. And that's interesting that the Creation Island Yoshis are smart like that.

Alola Forms were also on my mind regarding both Fruit Shake and the previous fangame topic. Great minds think alike, right?

Seems like that. Since you had just started and thus too early, but I would love to suggest a joint project where your timeline and my timeline (all canon Paper Mario games follows one by another but some details in Sticker Star and Color Splash had made some changes for consistency) crosses over and use some of the partners we made as partners, as well as some new ones. Or at least a semi sequel to Drawing of Disaster.

I'd be up for that if I find time. It'd be nice to see what occurred in the WarioWules09 universe's version of the eighth gen games, as well as how all three timelines (original, DMZ and WW09) contrast.

Even if I don't find time, I wouldn't be opposed if you feel like doing such a thing and bring the DMZ timeline's characters along for the ride. If you have any questions about them, feel free to ask.

I am afraid that I don't do recuts, but I do include the five previous canon Paper Mario games with a storybook in Creation Island's Ancestry Temple where all previous games' events are mentioned with Merlene's help to describe them, with changed details that is (and justification of why nobody joined with Mario aside of exposition partner in Sticker Star, such as Kersti's rudeness).

I could use Spotleek as a secret bonus boss in Drawing of Disaster, other than that, no plans yet.

That's actually a neat feature that would be great in any Paper Mario game- a storybook recounting the previous games.

And that's fine with me- whatever you want to do is your choice.

Thanks. I will credit you for your characters I would use to make sure that I do not made them, but you do.

The inclusion of Spotleek is a foreshadow of the eventual timeline crossover of S09 (That's my Fantendo username) and DMZ.

Thanks. I appreciate both this and your interest in the DMZ library.

Neat idea for a tie-in. Which form would big old black take during its appearance?
