Once weaponsmiths working on Elecspire Rock, the Hammer Bros. of Mercadia have been conscripted by the Knights in their crusades.

On top of all their appearances in the Super Mario Bros. platformers and previous Paper Mario games, Hammer Bros. appear in the fangame topic Paper Mario: Wonder Journey. This particular redesign also appears in the fangame topic of Paper Mario Color Splash Recut, replacing the Tanabe-era staff's design.
